Submissions
What the flux? I have this totally rad idea, and no one will give me the opportunity or space to accommodate my passions for creativity!
FLUXspace reviews unsolicited proposals on a rolling basis - send us your stuff! FLUX loves to give emerging, ambitious and skilled creative individuals the opportunity to exhibit their ideas in the form of solo, group and ‘experimental’ exhibitions of all types.
Our Exhibition Advisory Committee (see the About Us page for committe members) assists staff in reviewing all submitted material (proposals from those emerging, ambitious, and skilled individuals such as yourself!).
FLUXspace will provide the space and facilities necessary to complete ambitious projects that require more than showing up with a box truck and being ready to install. This mini-residency opportunity, while available, is idiosyncratic and must be determined with applicant(s) after project approval.
We have a limited budget: all applicants must be prepared to fund the majority of their exhibitions. Although in the past we have been able to obtain project-based grants, they cannot be guaranteed. FLUX funds promotional material, the opening reception, and has a skilled staff available for late night phone calls AND to help facilitate installation needs!
FLUXspace is not a dealer or commercial gallery; we have never sold works from any exhibition. If you are looking to exhibit your work commercially in Philadelphia, contact us and maybe, just maybe, we could recommend some galleries to you. However the bright side of a non-commercial gallery is that if a sale does occur all proceeds would go directly to you, the Artist. Now, we would like to mention: FLUXspace does accept all in-kind donations to help support its programming and exhibitions!
