The J Fund at FLUX:

How do our experiences define us?

We are continually augmented by everyday interactions as well as extraordinary events. Our personal canon of experiences allows us to navigate ourselves through unfamiliar conditions; each experience we collect enables us to reconfigure our template for future encounters. In turn, we become more aware of our own emotions, limitations and sensibilities.

The J Fund at FLUXspace is dedicated to supporting creative projects that investigate, research, and explore a shared experience dependent on the active engagement of its participants.

We are interested in funding projects that:

- Have participants rather than viewers

- Promote active engagement rather than passive interaction

- Create an event rather than an object

- Utilize the subjectivity of human experience

- Acknowledges the importance of where the work is sited
