For Immediate Release:
Joe Beddia

It is not clear why Joe Beddia draws on things - on napkins, old envelopes, discarded pages from a Simpson's day calendar- but what is clear is his prodigious output, since he leaves these drawings all over the house, at work and on bars throughout Philadelphia. The "whimsical aphorisms" (a phrase at which he would balk) are often drawn as if on the side of a beer can, perhaps owing to Joe's wide-ranging vocation as a brewer. Whatever his reasoning is, the old aadage for pun-making "It's not the quality but the quickness" (a phrase Joe would like) - could apply to Joe's art-making with the caveat that the quality in this quickness, is one, you dear viewer, won't soon forget.
