I would like to introduce the work of 4 artists. Ben, Julia, Steve, and Zachar are working through means of sculpture, video, photography, paint and most of all, intimacy. They have been making art with anyone of us, or all of us in mind. By speaking from a place of personal vulnerability, they appeal to our own. The people with whom these artists are intending to connect must not be confused with the impersonal academic equivalent of you and I, known as "the viewer," but rather a person who doesn’t tend to define themselves solely within an art context. This show is for you, as you read this, it is for the person your skin last touched, it is for the stranger you just met through eye contact, it is for whom ever your back is to right now.
