April 27th was a BFA exhibition of four Tyler School of Art students. The four hung the show with great sincerity while also showing some humor with Joy Payton’s unlikely placement of paintings. The group utilized and adapted their work into the clean white walled gallery as well as the raw gallery space on the first floor. Paintings were hung on stucco, brick and plaster surfaces. Each painting seemed to be hung in its appropriate environment, heightening my experience of each work.
